The Seattle HEC chapter worked with Tent City to pass a city council ordinance allowing tent city to use city property for transitional encampments. This was an ordinance that Tent City had been working to pass and partnered with the HEC to help secure the vote of our local city council member
The HEC chapter held an assembly with over 100 students and community members and got a commitment from city council member Jean Godden that helped secure the passage of the ordinance.
